Charity theme - customising & questions

Hi there,

I purchased the charity theme for a not for profit and it's looking good. I have a couple of questions I'm hoping you can answer for me:

  1. How do I create a separate page displaying all entries for sub-post types like Events and Causes (eg like a blog index page for each).
  2. How do I embed a "gallery" of Donators or team members onto another page other than the home page?
  3. Is there a page builder plugin that works with this theme?
  4. How can I edit or delete the meta settings for "causes". I'm using this post type for something a little bit different so funds raised and fund goal is not relevant.
  5. Can I make the top menu link to sections on the home page? (eg: Events  in menu links to the Event section on the home page)

Thanks

Megan

Hi,

How do I create a separate page displaying all entries for sub-post types like Events and Causes (eg like a blog index page for each)?
Ans - You can use the shortcode for displaying this.

How do I embed a "gallery" of Donators or team members onto another page other than the home page?
Ans - You can use the shortcode for displaying this.

Is there a page builder plugin that works with this theme?
Ans - You can use any page builder for the pages created and the home page is created from the customizer.

How can I edit or delete the meta settings for "causes". I'm using this post type for something a little bit different so funds raised and fund goals are not relevant.
Ans - Go to Dashboard >> Causes >> remove the Meta Fields

Can I make the top menu link to sections on the home page? (eg: Events  in menu links to the Event section on the home page)
Ans -

Follow the steps given below to add the section link to the menu.

Add the unique ID to a menu item
On the WordPress admin menu, click Appearance > Menus and make sure the menu you want to use is displayed.
In the left column expand the Custom links category
Enter the full URL of the target page in which the section occurs, followed by the pound sign and your ID. For example, if the section occurs on the page https://www.example.com/goals/, then your URL would be:
https://www.example.com/goals/#my-unique-id
Enter whatever link text you want your menu item to display.
Click Add to menu.

Many Thanks!

Thanks have worked out how to use the shortcodes.

But instruction for removing meta fields is not clear... / I can not find the option to remove. Can you please screenshot for me?

How can I edit or delete the meta settings for "causes". I'm using this post type for something a little bit different so funds raised and fund goals are not relevant.
Ans - Go to Dashboard >> Causes >> remove the Meta Fields

Attached is a screenshot of what happens when I simply remove data from meta fields

Also wondering about the Events post - the time and date of the event appears to be the time and date of the post so if we have upcoming events (dated in the future) the posts don't actually display because they are listed in the backend as "scheduled"
